Hook Head:
Hook Head is an excellent sea watching and Passerine
migration watch point for Swallows, Warblers,
Flycatchers and Redstarts. Gannets, Auks, Choughs
and Kittiwakes can be seen at all times of the
year, with Shearwaters and Skuas in the Spring.

Tacumshane Lake has many and varied wintering
waterfowl present every year.

As many as one third of Greenland's White Fronted

A well supervised mini farm with a large selection
of birds and animals including tropical birds,
sheep, lama's, rabbits, chipmunks, pigs and
emu.
Our Lady's Island: Nesting Tern
Our Lady's Island and Tacumshane
Lake, Ballyteigue Burrow, Wexford Harbour and
the Cull, Carnsore Point, Bannow Bay and the Hook
Peninsula have all been designated with special
ecological importance both nationally and internationally.
The plankton rich waters
around South East Ireland have produced regular
sightings of harbour porpoise, common dolphins,
bottlenose dolphins, risso's dolphins and minke
whales. Common and grey seals can also be seen
on the Conningbeg and Brandie rocks.
The reclaimed land around
Wexford Harbour are known as the North and South
Slobs where half the world's greenland white
fronted geese winter giving the area an international
importance.
